Here are two new brochures for the College of Engineering, featuring both straight and diagonal tabs that are as functional as they are visually engaging. These tabs not only make it easy to locate key information at a glance, but they also introduce a dynamic rhythm and structure to the layout, enhancing both usability and aesthetic appeal.

I designed this brochure and managed all aspects of pre-press process, too. On the spreads below, you might notice white space on the left side—these areas were intentionally left for trimming to accommodate the tabs. For custom projects like this, I work closely with the printer to ensure the final piece meets all specifications. It's always a rewarding and engaging collaboration, and I truly enjoy the process of bringing unique designs to life.

↑ The brochure with vertical cuts is a simplified version of the more complex and production-intensive design featuring die-cut diagonal corner tabs, along with premium print finishes such as embossing and UV accents. The diagonal corners were also shaped using custom die-cutting. Below, you can see some of these refined finishing touches. ↓

The diagonal tabs highlight the innovative architecture of the College of Engineering and Computer Science East building. The interior layout reinforces this diagonal rhythm, contributing to the brochure’s distinctive appeal—a design that has proven especially popular with prospective students and visitors.
